The
front door finally came in. After staining and sealing it was
installed and trimmed out.
The masons came in right after that and started their brick
work.
Another
view of the mason's work.
The
brickwork is finished, and I move on to siding and trim for
the studio.
After
installation of the siding and trim, the whole strructure is
caulked and primed.
On the back side, as shown in the photo, the peak of the roof
is 21 feet from the ground. You know its tall when
you have to ladder up on scaffolding to reach the top!
Another
view of the paint prep.
After
prep, the studio gets it paint!
After
painting (no small task in itself) construction on the patio
cover begins.

A
view of the patio cover from underneath. Fairly simple construction,
but
what a difference in feel it makes. The underside will be covered
in bead-board, and the supporting
posts will have short brick columns surrounding them.

That's
where I'm at now. Pending completion of the patio cover, I'll
resume work on the inside,
and actually build a studio.
Thanks for looking.
Cheers!
