Here's
Dan stringering the back wall of the Live Room. Come to think
of it, Dan is the only one of us we have pictures of while
he's working. I assure you, though, we all do equal amounts
of work... really. :)
Just
as a side note I wanted to mention... If you ever have to
do stringering, I feel VERY sorry for you. We all agree that
doing the stringering was the biggest pain in the ass out
of everything we've done so far. Think of that... it beat
out caulking, panelling, drywalling, running conduit, HVAC...
that says a little bit about it.

Here
you can see the back wall is done being stringered and we've
started to panel it with particle wood.

We
had to put the door back into the doorway leading to the stairs
because we got a cat. Pete told me to put this picture in
just to tell you that. Ok Pete... time for your nap now.

Besides
a big MESS, this picture shows that the Live Room is completely
drywalled. And you can see the return air "shoot" at the front
of the room. We cleaned up the next day and paid about $20
at the town dump. Grr ....

This
picture shows two pieces of the Oak we're putting in the window
sills There will still be two more, obviously. You can see
that we have a house about 10 feet away, so that's why we're
putting a multiple seal in this window.

This
picture shows how the multi-seal cill works. Each color is
another piece of oak wood. If you have any questions on it
you can e-mail me (Brian). The door that we will place into
this window will then be built to fit exactly on this to keep
the sound from getting out, or in if the neighbor is mowing
his lawn. Of course the door won't go at an angle like this,
but it's just to show how it fits together.

Here
you can see the stairwell wall has partial drywall. You can
see the resillient channel on top of the foil. To the right
you can see the Air-lock Room is all drywalled.
