Here
is a picture of one of the HEAVY window covers on the wall.
It took two strapping young men to get it up there!
This picture shows the boxes that became slot resonators for
the side walls.
Here's the slot resonators after I "finished" them.
I still need to figure out trim pieces, etc. to make them look
better, but my first priority is to get the audio going, then
I'll work on some more of the physical beauty.
Here's a picture of the Ultimate DIY diffusor - aka bookcase.
It really does work at diffusing the sound!
These are the double doors leading into the studio. I still
need to put gasketing on the outer door, but they are already
working well. I'll also be hanging 1" 703 wrapped in muslim
between the doors so they don't act like a big drum.
This is the "front" of the studio with just an old
junk table while I build the desk.
Here's the back of the studio.
Next up is the desk. I'm building the world's ugliest, but functional
desk. It has two pedestals. One pedestal is a 19" equipment
rack, and the other pedestal is an isolation box for the computer.
I'm putting the whole thing on big wheels to be able to roll
it around and make the most of my small space. Here's the 19"
rack pedestal.
Here's the outside of the isolation box pedestal.
Here's the inside of the isolation box. I still need to add
muslin wrapped 703 to the inside surfaces and finish wiring
up the fans.
I'm really hoping to get back to making music soon!
