Hi, I'm Alessandro from Turin, Italy.
Sorry for my bad english, I hope you can understand me!
First of all thank to all for this forum, I've learn a lot of things reading posts.

Currently I already have a small studio, with a live room (the yellow one in the sketchup file) of about 25sqm and a mixing room of 23sqm (the orange one). I record and mix mainly acoustic music, and often jazz combos (in this case all instruments together).

Live room:
The live room is already acoustically isolated and acoustically treated.
The ceiling start from 2,46m to 2,20m.
The floor is wood parquet, the internal walls are gypsum board.
Inside there is a grand piano (1,86m long) and a drum kit.

Mixing room
The mixing room is completely to do.
The ceiling is 2,70m high, but long the ceiling there is a lowering of 30cm.
There is a spiral staircase in a corner and two windows.
I have no problem to make new walls with gypsum board.
I've no problem with neighbors, they are 20m far from me, so the mixing room must not be more acoustically isolated.
I cannot modify the concrete walls, so communication between live and mixing room is already done with close circuit cameras.

What i would like to do
In the mixing room i would like to do gypsum walls to isolate the spiral staircase and make a simmetric room. Any suggestion? If it's possible i would like to make also a small vocal booth.

In the live room i would like to make a booth for the drum kit, and left the biggest part of the room for the grand piano. Do you think it's possible in about 25sqm? Suggestions on the division walls?

I don't have an infinite budget, but i think i could put about 5000 euro in this project (if needed also more).

I attach the sketckup project and some view from the project. Tomorrow i post also some photos.

Thanks for all, ask me any more information.
Alessandro

Hi, I upload some photo. I think that maybe the live room is to small to make a drum booth and remaining much space for piano;
also i don't know if sound isolation with a gypsum wall (with rockwool and isolation panels) is enought for drum and piano together, what you thinks?
