There is an announcement at the top of the forum about what to do to assure getting as many responses as possible.
The announcement leads to this post (click here). Actually, several people, who are experts on this forum, will most likely not reply if you don't do what is written in that post. Many others who are very helpful, will most likely not reply out of respect for the moderators' wishes.

For a project like this, you need a world-class professional designer. E-mail John directly.

 Why? Do you have any idea how complex and expensive it is to float floors correctly? And doing it on rubber seems questionable.

You should probably read this, very carefully:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=8173

And to find out how to do it right, read this:
http://www.nrc-cnrc.gc.ca/obj/irc/doc/p ... /ir802.pdf

Floating a floor is much, much harder than it sounds.

It helps yes, if done correctly. But as a builder, you should already know that you can't just cut an existing slab then expect to build a studio on top of the cut part... That would be dangerous, and probably illegal in most countries.

Ummm... yes, but that's not all you need to do!

Ummmm, no, acoustic caulk is not the correct material for filling an expansion gap between pieces of concrete. I though you said you were a builder? I would expect that builders know how to deal with joints in concrete correctly.
