I have a pair of relatively cheap active nearfield monitors (Fostex PM-1). I like them, but then again, I've never been spoiled by the "good stuff" :wink:

They do not have any ports to the sides or back -- they do have a couple of ports on the front face.

I will be building an actual control room soon - and was wondering - should I soffit mount these beasts?
