Hi Guys. Long time lurker, first time poster... sort off ;)
I was wondering if you guys could help me choose some sort of sound proofing devices for a study room that is to be refitted with professional audio gear for a live internet radio station. This won't be some cheap setup... We already have a few bits of gear and more are on the way. We are getting 2x Neumann TLM67's as our studio mics for broadcasting and our console will be a Tascam DM4800, just so you know ;)

Well, At the moment. The current room is just a study room with 5 computers. We will remove all of them as they are too loud for a studio and will be replaced with a brand new Apple Mac Pro Eight-Core 2.8GHz Xeon Desktop Computer which will be the main system interface with ProTools and console with another high end pc running DRS 2006.

I would need ideas for sound proofing the following room please:

Hi Aristotles,

There is an announcement at the top of the forum about what to do to assure getting as many responses as possible. The announcement leads to this post. Actually, several people, who are experts on this forum, will not reply if you do not do what is written in the post. Many others who are very helpful, will not reply out of respect for the moderators' wishes.

Nothing can be recommended based on the information you have given.

That's it.

We want to help, but not everyone makes it easy for us to do that!

I hear Courtesy and Politeness just left the building... Sarcasm and Irony kicked them out... :(

Anyway... Aristotles, nice name btw, you claim to be a long-time lurker in this forum... Then you should have known that we edit our profiles to include our country and place we live in...

Also, you must have seen hundreds of posts with long descriptions and ketchup, oops :P , I mean sketchup designs or just plain pictures from people trying to give the experts here as much information of the project in question as possible. You said: "I would need ideas for sound proofing the following room please" and you just posted a couple of photos of your room with your dog, nice doggy btw... Where's your room's floorplan, dimensions, etc?

Well, as Brien correctly and accurately said, "nothing can be recommended based on the information you have given".

Cheers,

John
