I bought nice fabric, not too thin in order to make the room a bit brighter. The thinner the fabric, the more high frecs it will pass to absorb

JB, the place looks great! What's up with the ceiling lighting? Is that finished or are you going to feed those lights into absortion clouds or something? If not, it looks cool as is. Definitely unique and vibey :D

Also, what kind of material are you using on your front bass trap walls (the purple)?

Javier, even though I have not commented on your older posts, I would like to congratulate you on your build! Awesome studio! My friend is from Chile and he's a Videographer, I might be going there soon. I would love to visit your studio and get to know more about your work. It's always a good feeling when a construction dream comes reality! Nice going and good luck on this new construction.

Does the stone wall improve your recording room?

Are the customers amazed with it? Here in Spain a lot of customers tell me about a studio in the city who have a stone wall and they say " the recordings might sound incredible in that room". I always say: "Bad musicians sound bad everywhere".

So for that reason, to amaze the customers, I want to improve my recording with slats and stone walls. What is your experience?

My experience ist, that it is much more impaortant to give the musicans a good feeling, than have high end rooms, and high end equipment. The room has to FEEL nice, but leave room for jump into all different kind of emotions.
When the artist fell good while recording, the record will be nice, no matter if you use cheap equipment, or have lover skills as enineer. Good gear, and good skills, can just recors the performance, and you need a good felling for the artist, to get a good performance.
cheers
Mika

Yeah, but you have to HEAR the place to really appreciate why Javier is putting out albums that go Platinum, and why he is fast becoming one of the most sought-after producers in Chile! His studio sounds pretty amazing in there. Javier did a great job designing and building the place. It sounds even better than it looks, and that's saying something because it looks so cool!

Nice update, Javier! :)

Sorry for being so away from the forum lately! But I've been REALLY, really busy with work! Tons of albums plus a 21th Century Fox movie now! Wow 8)

Thanks for all the good comments about the build and glad It helped others to build theirs as I did with other posts as well.

Have a nice week!

Javier
