Design thread (such as it is) is here:

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=15549

Getting started on beefing up the stud bays.

Tremco acoustical sealant is some right nasty shite.

nice neat work! you could save money on the insulation using the pink insulation for the air spaces between the walls and ceiling and using the heavier rigid insulation inside for treatments.

Thanks for the response. I wish I could take credit for the work but I have claws instead of hands when it comes to construction. Luckily I found a skilled and experienced local builder with some sensitivity to the arcane design criteria.

I was planning on only using the Roxul in the stud and truss bays for both the inner and outer leaves. Assuming I'm understanding you correctly do I still need the pink stuff in the air gap between leaves?

Also, for my inner leaf (drywall facing the sound room interior), I have conflicting information and opinions on the board regarding the use of resilient channel. I was planning on using it for both the wall and ceiling but have read that it might not be worth it (I'm assuming because the inner leaf/room is completely isolated -- well, except for the concrete slab).

Any suggestions?

Oh and also: Brien suggested I move this back over to the original design thread to keep everything in one place so if you do respond maybe please follow the link at the top and respond to that thread.
