Hi I got the idea from the GIK site. I've have made my own acoustic panels and can't find a way to attach them to a mic stand to make them modular. GIK attaches to the sides of the frame where as mine just have a solid back.
Does anyone know a part number, have a picture, or method to this?
thanks!

update: I found this
http://www.realtraps.com/mini_stands.htm
But I currently hang my 1/2 round tube traps as picture hangers so the clamps would get in the way when not in use.

on the wall - French cleat with stand offs? or bolt a PVC tube onto the back you could slip over the stand? or a simple wood stand which you can unbolt from if needed.

Hi Glen
thanks for the help.
I'm looking for something that would let me hang the 1/2 round tube traps back up on the wall after I'm done doing mixing. I think the pvc bolted to the back would get in the way unless I'm miss understanding your idea.

Possibly an eye bolt on the top of the tube trap that slips on to a small boom, but all the eye bolts that big have to large of threading for my 1/2" backing.

here is a current picture of my set up. when I'm not working I need to hang the tube traps back up on the opposite wall.

I think I figured out a way.

Replace the picture hangers hooks on the back of my panels with cleats.
Attach a cleat on on a small block of wood that has a whole the size of a mic stand so it sits on top of the mic stand.
Also have a set of cleats on the walls for panel storage.

Any thoughts on improvements/problems?

thanks

sounds like a workable solution. i once built some simple u-frames for my JBL Control 1's to mount on mic stands for use as monitors when performing - a simple friction fit with the rubberized coating on the speaker did it and it put the monitor right next to the performers ears.
