Hi All

Please excuse the terrible diagram.

Here's the issue. Which fig would you suggest, and what's the best way to treat the rafters.

Fig 1

This is the existing 220 mm brick wall. There are three and they are all interior except the back wall but soundproofing is not an issue with these walls due to the location of the building.

Fig 2

As this is an extension to the live room this is the new wall to be built. I will build it from 100mm solid selco block, double skin with an air gap of approximately 3-4 inches.
My question being, should I just, a: put my drywall straight onto the interior skin wall. b: Stud, rock wool then drywall. Or c: same a b but with rc channel.
Which one is the best for bottom end reduction.

Fig 3

Is an existing wall made from 100 mm solid selco block which I have stud, rock wool and rc channel then drywall. Is that pointless.

And finally, the roof is aproxamatly 16 foot high (eve) with 4x2 beams, should I use rock wool, rc channel and then drywall, or forget the rc channel.

Once again thanks a lot fot all your replies. I've stripped the studio write down and just want to get it as close to write this time.

Many thanks

Antony.

Figs? What figs? It looks like you forgot to attach the figs, because there aren't any in your post! :)
