Hard to tell from the pix, are those custom fabs or off-the-shelf items? Steve

Don't mind him, Aaron -- that's just Steve padding his post count.

Greetings everyone,

In light of some recent events w/ my current employer of 8 years, I am now actively seeking a new gig. If anyone knows of something, let me know. Preferably in the technical or audio fields.

Which also means, I may not be on this site as much for the time being, but we'll see what happens.

Aaron, may I be the first to say how sorry I am to hear that news... :-( I can only imagine what you must be going through.

Hang in there brother...

Oh, well that's better... But still, I know the feeling of being at a place you don't want to be.

Been there, not fun; I hope you can find something less obnoxious soon. We didn't talk about it much, but I got the impression you were into IT pretty heavy; maybe something along those lines? (not that it'd be as much fun as touring with a girl-band or something...)

The "poser" comments was just me teasing Keith - Keithers, I only WISH I needed to pad my post count... :?

Oh I know Steve -- I smiled when I read your "poser" comment, and I was just givin' some back to you. ;-) Don't worry -- you're still my favorite. 8)

I'll try and post some updated pix today. With all the BS going on lately, I'm kicking it into high gear to hammer this thing out as quickly as possible. The framing for the second tracking room is 100% complete. I finished up putting some hat channel on the back of the framing to help hold the insulation. Mounted the electrical duplex boxes last night as well. I'll run conduits tonight and get them wrapped up. Now I just need to figure out where I'm putting lighting and the dimmer boxes so I can run electrical for them.

My plan...have the electrical conduits finished by the end of the weekend, and maybe the electrical for lighting.

Good idea about getting the place usable; my Q was about the isolators on your conduits; can't quite see 'em well enough to tell exactly what you did... Steve

Are you referring to what I used to attach them to the studs, or where the conduits come together (or should I say spaced apart about 1/4" or 1/8")?

I just left a space between the two conduits between the walls. I'll probably just use a piece of tape or something around the gap.

OK, I saw something that looked like black rubber and wondered if you'd used some of those flex couplers they sometimes use on ABS sewer/vent pipes - looked closer and realized that must be your isolation from framing... Steve
