I'm looking to buy acoustic foam for my new
vocal room, i've look at auralex but the price is a bit
steep, so after some reserch i found a manufacturer
who make acoustic foam to order at half the price
i,m looking at 600mm x 600mm by 50mm deep wedge cut
they have sent me a sample and some tech spec but
i'm not 100% sure this right for studio use .

if anyone can help me i have attched the spec from
the foam manufacturer.

i wolud be gratful for any feedback

it seems to have ok specs. but... it might be wise to ask them for more information - such as "what type of foam is it?" Auralex uses a more expensive formulation than many cheaper types of products...

Hello Greeny,
As you live in the United Kingdom you might want to try Dunlop Foams or indeed Tontine, they come under the Company "United-Bonded" and apart from Polyester such as Acoustisorb (Like a Semi Rigid 703 Fibre Glass though better specs) or AA-29/AA30 Density-30Kg/m3 Convoluted Foam that is Fire retardent and they will sell through a Pro Forma Invoice direct; so be clever and buy enough that you need then sell the rest you don't want on Eslay! Or double the width of the foam you put up! I.E 2 Inch/4 Inch

(They will sell Directly to you - though you need the "Full" gusto to call up and order the same amount as you would from Auralex, and the quality is the same from what I can remember)

I once grabbed 14.8Sq metres plus for $280.00 $AUD (Yeah.... Our Dollar has hit the floor now .... Anyone for Coal?)
Cheers -
Thought I'd pipe up even though an old postjavascript:emoticon('')
