as you can see, right speaker is between 2 windows and there is no absorbtion panels exept bass trap in corner behind speaker.
My question is what should I do to put one absorbtion panel on this bigger window on the right side od right speaker to minimize reflections from the speaker?
Is it advisable to have one absorbtion panel that can be off that window while is recording some band( I must see people in other room, right :) and the put it back on that window when mixing?

Here is some other pictures from sketchup program.

just make a sliding or hanging absorber you can put into place over the window when you are mixing. heavy drapes can also help above and beyond the absorber.

One small question:

for first reflection points, am I using High-bass Traps od Mid/High absorbers?

Early reflections are mainly a mid-high frequency issue, though absorption that works well to lower frequencies is always welcome.

Hi, folks.

This CTRL room dimensions are :

Lenght:4,50 m ( 14,76 ft )
Height:2,86 m ( 9,38 ft )
Width:2,60 m ( 8,53 ft )
Do I need diffuser in the back of the room and do I need more absorption on the front wall of the room?Room is somehow small and I dont want to mess around with more and more treating if it is not necessary.
Any suggestions for more absorption?
Studio is built from scratch so I posted a few photos so you can see in which phase of building am I now.

Cheers

approved! use a French cleat on the window absorbers so you can move as needed.

Hi, again.I made my acoustic panels ( 4 of them) and now I need to hang them on the walls.

I want to make a EPS diffuser because I want light diffuser hanging on rear wall.

I didnt test my freq. range in my Control Room yet, so i dont want to mess around with something that Im not sure of.My question is :
Would it be good to put diffusers on my front wall behing speakers instead of absorbers, and on cealling too?
And is it better to place diffusers in Live Room instead of absorbers?

Thanks Glenn.I will go with absorbers in CR then but now I have problem with cloud absorbers.

Ceiling in CR is not hard concrete ceiling.
It is separated from the cement ceiling with gypsum boards affixed to the wooden beams and has a 15 cm air space. I'm not sure that gypsum board could be distorted after because of the wight or cloud absorber could drop from the ceiling :?

However, on each side of the longest wall there are two visible concrete beams, so I'm not sure whether this could be a quality solution for hanging cloud absorbers.

i would go with whatever will provide the correct support - maybe running the support wires/chains from the concrete beams to the cloud will work.

Hi.I made this cloud absorber.Dont have Photo camera now to give you photo but I'll post it later.
i think ( just for this moment ) CR treatment is almost done( i must make measuremet in software so i can see how freq. are standing in line :) ).

My next mission is Live room.

Live room dimension:
W: 3,85 m (12,63 feet )
H:2,60 m ( 8,5 feet )
L:4,50 m ( 14,76 feet )
In this live room I will record vocals, guitar amps and bas amps. There are drums in one corner now but later I will move drums to its own Drum room.
There is nice short revereb coming from Live room when I clap my hands in it.Maybe this rever would give vocals and el. guitars some nice ambience but , maybe Im wrong because I always wonder what do you guys think about that.
So, Live room acoustics problem is:

-like in CR it is drop ceiling in LR too, drywalls around LR are 3 cm away from brick wall so there is 3 cm air gap between walls.
-it is hard floor( laminate ) and ceiling is drywall.

I found on internet that hard floor and soft ceiling would be good think for Live room but what could I put on my ceiling? There is no visible cement beams so i can hang some heavy treatment so Im thinking about some lightweight treatment.
Any other thoughts and opinions would be welcomed.
So, guys, what would you do on my place?

That would be great only if these ceiling tiles are not 2 meters long and 1,2 meters wide gypsium boards :?
Yesterday I was in supermarket in the city.I sow this EPS tiles:

This decorative tiles can be glued on ceiling.Anyway main idea is to put some rock wool somehow on it and put fabrics around wool and all together glue or screw on gypsium boards on ceiling.Maybe this would be good solution for Live room ? If yes , then I would place them on ceiling but not to close to each other.here are some other items on sale :) :

I made 2 holes for LED lights ( I will put LED lights because they dont give heat as halogen lights-its because light holes are close to rockwool. ) :

Here is ceiling in CR where this cloud absorber will be placed. If you can see this 2 visible beams on left and right side of ceiling, there will be hanged this aborber which is 2,4 meters long and 1,06 meters wide :

i like the tiles. maybe you could put 100mm rigid insulation behind them and create a VPR type effect, or mix and match the absorbers with the tiles. on the CR i'd suggest some of those superchunk corner absorbers in the ceiling-wall junction above the mix position and above the cloud. same on the back wall over the couch.
