A similar type of mounting method could be an absolutely fantastic way of suspending clouds, as with a little thought you could easily set it up so that you fix L&R splayed split batons at right angles to your ceiling joists (spanning 3 or 4) & fix the opposing split batons to the back of your clouds. Then all you need to do is 'SLIDE' them into place & perhaps make a single fixture. Could make life very easy for anyone hanging a lot of clouds

Yup; although you'd need to be sure the mounts were REALLY solid; a "dovetail" mount like that, when hung horizontally, would want to pull the wall-mounted rails either together or apart(depending on whether they were the inner or outer pair) and the device might fall down... Steve

Steve - aren't the two pieces that join together at an angle reversed? It seems to me that if you mounted it this way, the trap would just slide off the mounting bar. If the angle went the other way, it would work just fine.

Nope; read the drawings again - the lower half of the angled board is your wall-mounted rail, so gravity would pull the upper half (mounted to the trap) down and against the wall... Steve

thank you you made me decide what kind of trap to use i was goin to spend way more cash then i needed to thanks but...

i just have to ask what did you put behind the corner trap?
is there a wood board?
or are the 2x2 holding the 703 from falling down or back?

also i thought that 703 need to be able to move freely, so wouldnt the burlap get in its way?

Hi, just tried to make one of these panels with a size of 24"x48" and it worked out great! Only problem is it was very pricy. Two 1x4x8' pine wood boards cost me some 17 dollars and change! Was it so cheap for you because it was nearly 3 years ago? I will have to buy a big plywood board and have it cut to size for the rest of the frames.

Hello, I live in toronto and I can't seem to find Owens corning 705 or 703. Does anyone know where I can get some without ordering it, or alternatives?
