I think I posted this in the wrong forum so I'll put it here. What I'm wondering is, on walls and a ceiling, does more angle help or hurt? I mean, would it be better to use say, 10 on one wall and 10 on the other making it 20? Or would it be the same? or worse? I guess the reason the question came up is I keep reading about the MINIMUM angle, and I guess I like the idea of headroom.<not literally>.

Does that also apply to monitors? I read to set them at either 60 or 90, does this mean that 75 will not work as well? Or simple no less, no more.

Space - as I've mentioned before the 12 degrees (two walls opposing at 6 degrees each) I use is the minimum IMO to stop flutter echos so 20 would be fine.

Now about the monitoring angle. There are two systems the 60 degrees which is the standard, or the 90 which is rare, but I've used it to good success - Music Farm is 90 degrees but the splayed walls are at 22.5 degrees each. Remember the idea is to create a reflection free zone so that the signal from the right speaker doesn't reflect back off the side wall into your left ear. So in a 60 degree setup the angle required to stop that can be less than in a 90 degree setup as in the 90 degree the angle is tighter.

Now in your design your side walls don't allow for a wide splay that you'd need for a 90 degrees setup so I'd go with the 60.

I was thinking that the farther the spread of he monitors, then better stereo field. But like most things though, the consequences are greater.
