Hi!

I try to find some "acoustic sealant" here in Germany but the only thing I can get is acrylic sealant or silicone (http://www.otto-chemie.de/bauprodukte/bau_produkte/a210/a210.htm).
Is acrylic sealant an equivalent to "acoustic" caulk?

Hi

I think you could use something like Sikaflex which should be easily attainable in Germany.

Search this forum for Sikaflex, you'll find it's mentioned sometimes.

Check here for more information:

I'm currently in the planning stage of my own studio, I'll probably just tell Sika what I want to do and what they would recommend.

Basically the main thing you're looking for is that you get a sealant which stays elastic and doesn't really "harden" over many years (as I understand, I'm not pro myself ;-)

hope this helps
