703 in the Netherlands

Hello!

Where to buy 703 in the Netherlands?
Or does it have another naming overhere? (it mostly is)

Hope someone can help me out.

Knauf is a similar product that's more European based -

Your best bet would probably be local insulation or Drywall contractors, because generally the manufacturers of this type material only deal with professionals, usually it's not even available where private individuals go to buy building materials.

Most of us end up making dozens of phone calls to all the above type businesses, and post our findings here in this forum for others... Steve

For The Netherlands we have the product TP440. You can get at all jongeneel departments.

I can't find KNAUF RIGID PLENUM LINER anywhere on http://www.knaufisol.nl/. Looks like they don't sell it (anymore?).

Anyway, I found something similar:

It's available as a roll too, which is slightly cheaper:

It's in Dutch but the specs at the bottom are in the universal language of numbers

. The sound absorption coefficients are lower that the Knauf stuff though...

I'm hoping there are some people from The Netherlands or Germany (I live pretty close to the German border) that know better/similar but cheaper products and where to get it. If not, than this is what I'll use.

(The room I'm going to use it in is described over here.)

To all Dutch people: Knauf does not sell the rigid plenum liner or anything similar in The Netherlands. They told me that on the phone today. So Isover's Sonepanel is the way to go I guess, because I couldn't find anything similar to that or 703 / 705 over here.

Never use roll-on fiberglass for the walls....naturall vibrations (like passing cars/your footsteps(not to mention bass)) will make them sack over time...

Because OC 703 is a rigid fibreglass but Sonepanel is not a fibreglass product. It's a glaswool product with a glasfilm (thin glas skin) on one side.

2" (51mm) 0.17 0.86 1.14 1.07 1.02 0.98 1.00
3" (76mm) 0.53 1.19 1.21 1.08 1.01 1.04 1.10
4" (102mm) 0.84 1.24 1.24 1.08 1.00 0.97 1.15

The comparison Sonepanel has these coefficients:
40 mm 0.34 0.53 0.86 0.85 0.81 0.89 0.75
50 mm 0.24 0.57 0.88 1.01 0.94 0.90 0.85
90 mm 0.74 1.08 1.09 0.97 0.91 0.94 1.00

Note that for the lower frequencies the 40mm does a better absorption than the 50mm...

How well can I use this product instead of the 703?
Does it matter that is is not a fibreglass but a glasswool product?
What about the weight? Does this matter? 703 has a 48 kg/m3 and I cannot find any ratings on the Sonepanel.
