Definitely solution #2! The first one would be terrible for several reasons, but #2 is workable. You will still need a lot of acoustic treatment in that room, but layout #2 is the way to do it, for sure.

Why do you have that diagonal cut across the wall of the live room?

the position is more symmetrical in the room and you have a longer length behind you. as far as treatments, the soffit approach is good. the ceiling will need a cloud and you should consider some movable absorption on either side for first reflection points during mix down. scatter absorption on the ceiling behind and absorption/diffusion on the back walls.

the sides will need some cloth covered absorbers on your first reflection points - you might have to make one to slide into place on the window side during mix down. on the ceiling - a hard backed cloud - 19mm plywood and 19mm MDF screwed and glued with a 100mm cloth covered absorber on the face of it - about 250mm from the edges of the wall and front soffits and extending back about 300mm past your sitting position. angle it slightly so you still have clearance on the top monitor in the soffit and some air gap. along the rest of the room walls and ceiling - scattered patches of 100mm thick cloth covered absorbers about 400mm x 400mm spaced apart about 400mm. on the back wall (from the desk) same thing but make the gaps between the absorbers 250mm or so.

thanks for your valuable advice, but I need some clarification:
it is clear that I should create something that I cover the glass and Dov
- As regards the ceiling ... I have to create a kind of sandwich:
plywood - foam - MDF or simply the two sticks glued together?
- the opposite wall to the speakers should I use the panels seconded by
wall of 40 cm?
- to the side walls, the same panels but detached from the wall of 25 cm?

thanks for the advice ...
you are a myth 8)
