Nice - I like the mix of light softwood with the dark hardwood - will use that idea if I may :)

Sure!
Might be going a bit over board with the different timbers!

Hi All,

Sorry for the dead air!
I have been plodding along doing little bits and pieces that done really show up in pics.
But, with a week of work I have layed the final timber flooring in the drum room.
Hung the cloud over the mix position. Finished all the trim, skirting and frames to hide all the staples and flaws :)
re- Painted the ceilings.

Pics- (sorry iphone)

I have also built the final cloth frame that goes above the soffits.
It's a removable light frame, so when I change the far field speakers I don't have to un-do too much.

Soooo, I choose a pale blu/purple for the drum room soft wall. I was 1.5meters short, but needed access to that area cause the electrics weren't done.
I went back to the store yesterday and they don't carry that colour anymore!!!!
So I need to be creative and mix in another colour.

THanks X-Space
Soon I'll have to actually do some recording work.
I got a camera for my birthday (which you all missed!) From the favourite band that I mix live - Lucy's Crown.
You should all check them out

Oh, it took my electricity supplier 10 months to send me a bill, but it was $500 in credit, due to the solar panels.
I have a feeling that it may have been a mistake on their behalf, but i wont be telling them :)

Very good looking results, serves as inspiration for the shed studio I'm currently in the planning stages of.

Nope, it's very common for electric companies to owe customers with solar panels money back every month, especially when the customers aren't consuming a lot of energy. My grandmothers church consists of two HUGE buildings on which they installed solar panels on a few years back. The church has been saving over $1400 per month in energy! So spend that $500 and don't look back! :yahoo:

Nice build BTW!

I've been working on the business side of things and getting my website up and running.

I've decided to call the studio "Bantam Studio"
Being that it's little and of course....I have chooks.

Need to get some good photos of the studio to insert into the website but check it out.

That is a great looking web-site Lil. Very modern looking.

But, I thought you ate that chicken last year :)
