Common baby light my.. oh, wait those are other doors.

Right, as promised some boring pictures made before and after the replacement of the entry doors of the building. 40mm triplex enforced with aluminium (no it's not aluminum  ... ). Sealed around the perimetere with rubber, bottom still has to be done (using drop-down-threshold).

cheers mates!

Róman.

...now just wait a few days and I'll promise you there will be some graffiti or tags on the maiden-white doors.. bastards!

Maybe pay someone a couple of bucks to paint something cool on it? :cop: or consider it camouflage for your expensive new studio...

Sucks, but like you said, you allready knew it would happen.
I think graffiti is an art, only in this way it is NOT!
Allthough it's labelled as a crime, they're not being charged with a crime. :cop:

Have a couple of young kids in my church youth group., they're also getting into the whole graffiti thing. I made it clear to them it's not appropriate to just spray that stuff anywhere and go ahead with it. Now after some meetings I have arranged to get them a 13 x 3 meter wall which they can use for their graffiti art, hope this keeps them from doing it publicly.

Maybe it would help to just get 1 good artist and make a cool design so it won't get sprayed over?

Ceilings....
Oh yes indeed, it's ceiling time. Final layer which is only intended for aesthetics, not really for isolation. Never-the-less gonna seal it around the perimeter and add wool to dampen the cavity. It's a layer of GB attached directly to the existing beefed-up ceiling.

At this moment the ceiling is done and we're starting on the other side of the double wall to add a mass wall for the CR. yeeeh! When that wall and ceiling work is done we're gonna finished it with stucco, paint, whatever. Hope to do that somewhere at the end of this year (yeah, we're not on a tight schedule.. )

pix to proof it happened!

cheers, Ro.

Thom to grouncontrol
As the rehearsal space's structural built is done we're moving to the adjacent CR. Same shizl: metal-stud walls stuffed with wool, sealed with a moist-screen and hung with 1 layer of MDF and 1 layer of GB. This room is twice as small as the previous so built *should* go faster. We're also a bit more experienced now :)

What we dun so far:
- put MS frame up
- added electrical stuff
- stuffed it with wool
- added screen
- started with first mass layer (MDF)..in progress as we speak.

Pix, yeah here are some.

Ro, where the devil you at!?
uhmmm, yeah well.. I've been around, but not active (here)

Have been busy in my project tho. Finished all the walls of the CR (3 layers of mass all around), currently adding the second ceiling in that room. If that's done, the infrastructure is complete. next up, making it look and sound good :)

a few pix, nothing fancy.

thanx Stu, I'm right here don't worry. Keep this forum in check once a week but hardly post (except for updates on this threat that is).
Actually I just rounded up the ceiling work, it this point all wall and ceiling work is done (no more gypsum, yeeh!). Have to do some plasterwork and paintwork before adding the finishing floor. Then it's acoustic time!

happy holidays!

Looking forward to seeing that! It's taken a while, but you're in the final stretch now.

Merry Christmas!

Okay, Stu, this one is for you; pix to proof it darn happened!

Plasterwork, not my favorite sport. It's the first round, on the pix the mud is still wet. Tonight (friday the 13th.. hmm) we're gonna do round two and finish it. hopefully...
