I'm thinking of buying the genelec s30 speakers. There is this person on the net who is selling the speakers for about 400€/piece. I know they're good but does anyone have experience of the s30's? The seller said that the bass and mid elements need to be replaced.
Just wanted to know since they're pretty old... And I know that pretty much all genelecs are superb(after all I am from Finland )

I had a pair of S30´s and I can tell you that they are excellent! The ribbons make the stereo imaging outstanding.

I bought them 12 years ago, after about 3 years I had to replace the woofers. Don't cost much (about 60 Euros each). Then the mid's started to distort. Replaced them for about 70 Euros each.

What you need to check in to is the condition of the ribbons. That's expensive!!

Sold mine recently and got myself a pair of 8050's. Got 1100 Euro's for them with new ribbons.
