I think Rick is referring to this thread -
You got it Steve. Can't sneak anything past you huh?

In regards to my own project, I'll be starting on it in about a month. Give or take honey do's etc. AND my new occupation. Ha. I could get sent to another city for a few months at a time, so that might deter the best laid plans even futher..
In regards to that thread, I've got to re read that whole thread, among others, in context, cause something still is eating at my craw. Haven't put it into final format yet, but something is just not ....well lets just say kosher. I dunno. But I'll get to the bottom of it yet. Just haven't got all the facts straight.
In the meantime, please understand my motive here. Ether things are, or they arn't. Plain and simple. If grey areas are ok for some, they better be ok for everyone. Otherwise its bull. As to my questions there, I'm a layman, and Eric knows it. He WOULDN"T have gone to that length if I hadn't touched a nerve.
And sorry to drag my curiosity over here, but I follow the smoke to find the fire. That being said, yea Steve, I'd love to follow you up on that proposal. Give me some time to get some crap out of the way first though. Then I'll really jump on it. I like the herringbone idea too. You read my mind.
Anyway, thanks for the offer. I'll put my ...ahem, curiosity to rest one of these days. Maybe when the shovel pats my face.
Aaron, sorry for imposing on your thread. I was just curious, thats all.
Thanks again Steve.
Rick :)

Cool; I didn't see a prob temporarily "hijacking", since Aaron's also doing hangers; I figured he might wanna think about doing the same experiment -

(Or, Aaron, are you so freakin' burnt out on hammer-bang crap you just wanna BLAST ??!? Steve

I know I'm ready to start playing w/ my toys again. Can't wait until this control room is finished.

Here's the latest...The control room floor is nearly complete. Only have about 4 1/2 rows left to lay down, and it will be finished. IT LOOKS GREAT!!!

Things left to do (for Control Room & Iso Room):

Rear Soffits:
-Frame
-Stands
-Bass hangers
-Insulate
-Electrical (lighting & outlets) pull wire & terminate
-Ply on front

Rear Wall:
-Frame for acoustic treatment & support for ceiling frame for treatment
-Absorbers, diffusors
-HVAC stuff
-Frame window to ISO booth
-Measure, order and install glass
-703 & Fabric

Front Wall:
-Finish 2nd layer plywood
-Cut vents that I forgot to cut prior to hanging plywood
-Lower half...703 & Fabric
-Top half build custom reversable panels (Reflective on one side, absorption on the other)
-Install mounts for LCD or Plasma displays
-Pull low voltage lines for monitors, video, etc.

Ceiling:
-Frame for custom built 703 & Fabric panels
-Install lighting, pull wire & terminate.

Right Wall (to live room):
-Frame window
-Measure, order & install glass window
-Install acoustical materials (choice unknown until I go to tune the room)

Left Wall (to outside):
-Frame windows
-Measure, order & install glass windows
-Install acoustical materials (choice unknown until I go to tune the room)

Other:
-Finish ceiling in first sound lock
-build ramp in sound lock up to control room floor level
-Frame door jams
-Sand, stain and treat doors for control room
-Seals for doors
-Frame large bay window in Iso room
-Measure, order & install glass for bay window (big bas*ard)
-Build bass traps & finish acoustical treatments for Iso room
-Frame door to electrical room
-Install Solid core door (stain & treat too) to electrical room

And the list goes on...

OK...good news...The control room floor is complete. Lookin' great. I hope to accomplish more over the weekend. Monday is my B-day, so I'm taking a 3 day weekend and taking next Thursday & Friday off before the party to do as much as I can. I hope to have the rear soffit walls done and finish the front. Possibly move the console into the control room??? (A big maybe).

Gotta run...Everyone have a good weekend.

:D

Thanks everyone.

Had a great B-day. Went and had dinner (it took 'em almost an hour to serve the food, so they comp'd the whole thing... :) ) Then my friend took me to the strip club (yeah...different Pu$$y this time). Got hammered (still recovering today) and hugged the porcelin throne  .

OK, here's the latest update from the weekend. Finished the second layer of plywood on the front wall. Terminated all the electrical for the front wall in the panel. Front wall now has juice. 8) Placed my speakers in the front wall (Holy crap!!! It's amazing the difference in sound now. The boom boom is gone (of course I still need to bring my sub down there). Those traps are working great!! Started the wood frame for the 703 & fabric on the lower front wall. Measuring out for the Bezels, etc.

OK, after the temporary thread jacking...here we go. Back to the latest. I've had these pix developed since mid April, but have been too busy to scan them. Just brought a new server online here at the office, so that's consumed every moment of my time the last few weeks.

So, here we go...

Most of these pix are of the front soffit wall. I'll have more after these in the next couple weeks...
