That's about it at the moment. I'm just about out of steel, and need to finish the walls between the two tracking rooms. Also need to finish some demolition work where the cabinets are. I'm going to remove the wall and redo that entire section.

Enjoy!

:D

Hey Aaron -- why are you bridging your soleplates together like this?

Aren't you glad you've got a digital camera now and don't have to develop and scan prints anymore? 8)

Actually they're not bridged. They're just laying in there right now for some ideas.

Below the window there, I'm going to build a display case into the wall since there's some extra space between the two walls. It will be about an inch and half away from the other wall. That picture doesn't show it well, and I didn't get the time to frame out the display case yesterday. If I don't get it done tonight, I'll have detailed pix of it next Tuesday when I'm back in the office.

And YES! It's so nice to have the camera. I just wish I'd bought it before the control room construction. Oh well. At least now I can show the details better.

Ahh Yes...

I had a feeling I'd get a question on that. As I mentioned, they were just laying in there when I happened to take the picture. I'll try and finish that up tonight and snap pictures of it. It was a last minute thought, and a good use of space for that area.

Ok, here's a little more detail on that. Right now, the track is just laying there to get the idea. I'll actually frame it this weekend. I was too tired when I got home from work last night, and just felt like being a couch potato.

Here's a couple more pix of the wall framing around the water main and how I tied the wall together, which I didn't take a picture of earlier...

So you'll have some sort of access for that valve, eh?

You'll be able to get to it without having to use tools, right?

(Sorry if it's a stupid question or if it's been answered already earlier in your thread...)

Yeah, still trying to come up w/ an idea. It'll have to have seals and all, just like a door. Don't know yet if it'll bump out into the room some, or if I can keep it as flat as possible. I'll make it possible though, so no tools will be required. Gotta have quick access in case of a leak. Of course when I installed the new plumbing, I installed valves that go to each section of the house so any particular section could be shut off if needed.

Also, the studs on each side of that are 20 guage steel to support an access door. The rest of the wall is 25 guage.

Aaron,

Seems like you're moving at a faster pace! :)

Did I read somewhere you wanted to be done by 2007? (Is that correct?...Sorry if it isn't)
If that's the date you wanted to be finished, it looks like you're ahead of schedule...(Good deal :) )

I'm curious though...do you have any type of monthly-weekly plan, or do you pretty much just do it as time permits?

I posted a page or so back, that my projected new dates would be 2007 for a complete finish. (And that's pushing it). Most of it depends on $$$ as to when it really gets finished.

It's whenever I have the time and the money to buy materials. I'm trying to build this studio so that I don't have a lot of debt or overhead by the time it's completed.
