I ran out of 2x6 to do a custom cut around the light in the ceiling, but got most of the frame done last night. I should have this done in the next day or two when I get a chance.

Then it's off to the other sound lock on the other end...

:D

Yeah. That's it. It was under my car port outside, behind my house (not viewable from the road). So it had to be someone who knew it was there. They were in, they were out. They didn't break into anything as far as the house.

There were a few other things outside too, but they didn't want them I guess. I'm thinking it's someone in the neighborhood, or the only recent visitor to my back yard was the UPS guy last week. He would have seen it.

WOW Aaron...sorry to hear that! Terrible feeling to be "violated" in that way. Was it big enough that it would take 2 people or more to move it?

Hope you find out who did it.

Definitely report it to law enforcement for a couple of reasons... First, if they catch the guy later (perhaps a result of another crime) and find it, you might get it back. Plus, it's good to get that stuff reported because then they'll know where to focus their patrols.

Thanks Stan. yeah, it's a bummer feeling. It's what they call a portable saw. For the most part, it's easier w/ 2, but one person could have done it if they wanted it bad enough.

That was the first thing I did. Case #: 06-281434
Ryobi 10" table saw, Model#: BTS15, Serial #: N0423?? Maybe that's a date code?

Awesome... You've got a serial number! :)

Keep an eye on craigslist > for sale > tools. Maybe you'll catch it.

In fact, you might want to post a "wanted" ad there for a table saw with specs similar to the one you lost (no brand name). Maybe the person who stole it won't be comfortable listing it for sale, but might respond to a "wanted" ad...?

Yeah, I was poking around all the classifieds sections online yesterday, including Ebay.

I've got the serial number, because I still have the box (at least I hope that's the number)...

At least now I can finally get rid of it.

I'm going to also knock the dust off my engraver and engrave every tool I own. It's past due for doing that.

And, I'm going to take the plunge and install a surveillance system as well. So if there's ever another "next time", I'll have 'em on video. Even if they're just snooping around and don't get something.

And, since my current contract is just about up w/ my current alarm company, I'm going to install some additional new features to my house.

EBAY! What a wonderful place. Just bought myself a DVR system for surveillance. Time to start drilling, pulling cable, and get some cams.

:D
