- Owens-Corning 703 ($17/panel incl. shipping)
- 8' Furring Strips (1"x3") ($1.24 each)
- 'Heavy Duty' Stapler with 1/2" staples ($3-4 per box)
- Burlap Fabric 1 1/2 yards @ $2.09/yard ($3.00)

- Spray Adhesive ($3-5 per can)
- Liquid Nails ($3.17 per tube)
- Hammer
- Power Saw

Wood cuts: (2) 19" pieces and (2) 48" pieces

Staple both sides!

THESE ARE VERY STURDY WHEN COMPLETED!!

Use 2" 703 for acoustic panel
Use 4" 703 for bass trap

the only thing i can't find on that burlap on their page is flammability information, if there is any. do you plan on spraying the fabric with anything?

Yes, I do plan on treating them with a flame retardant. What do you recommend?

FYI:

Eyehooks can be screwed into the wood for easy hanging on a wall or ceiling.

They're very light and the fabric helps hold them together.

I'll be hanging them from my ceiling using wire ties(eyehooks in ceiling, too), and on the wall using picture wire.

Here's another thanks!! I built some traps over the weekend and I pretty much did exactly what you did here except I used 4 inches of insulation and they look great! I'll be posting some pics of them in my thread soon..

I like you aproach, it's different and maybe easier than other builds I've seen.

Thanks- they may not be as pretty as some of the others but they sure are easy to build!

I ended up building 30 of these things. The more staples, the stronger they will be. I ended up using 6 instead of 4 on the flat sides. Made a difference. Good luck...
