Building a Killatone

Hey guys,
I started building Barefoot's Killatone speaker. I'll take pics shortly. I'm halfway glueing the enclosure.
In my case, I decided to build just one speaker, I'd like to use it mono placed at center (i like to mix in mono a lot !!)

All right. project finished!
Here are some pics.. I couldnt take pictures of the sanding etc stage but Thoma's pictures are pretty much the same thing.
I did everything by the book except on the wool thing. In my case I found some little foam pieces used to fill some pillows and i though they would work as well. At least the resonance in the cavity was gone after I filled it with the foam pieces.
I tried the speaker before the fill and I liked it a lot. It almost had the same mid range as the NS-10's but will less low end and smooth highs.

Hey guys, I really encourage you to build this monitor... It has changed my life

Seriously, its GREAT for placing the instruments on the mix, and one (mono) setup is really cool. I start all my mixes on this speaker, placing everything carefully.. then when I switch to my mains, it really has attitude, you can hear everything well

The name Killatone is a play on the name Auratone which was a small speaker used by many mixers to check for mono compatibility.
