what's the proper way to intall a control room window, as in gaskets, no gaskets, caulking, what kind etd.

also does anyone install windows that can be removed later if there are any cleaning issues or condensation conserns or do you just caluk both windows in and hope for the best.

also some people install sillicut granuals for moisture preventing, any comment on that?

thanks

Jeff - here's a sketchup file showing how to build a window.

The silica crystals are only required when the window is in a single wall frame where the air inside is trapped between the glass panes and is thus prone to fogging up due to heat discrepancies..

just click through the pages.

john

john,

thanks for responding. do you have any other type of file besides .skp format, like pdf or tif.

good information about the sillica. my walls are double with 1/2" air space so i won't worry about that.
